We consider ourselves the retail leader in the cruiser bicycle industry and we only want to associate ourselves with the leading brands in the cruiser bike category. There are several brands we don't carry as well. We've listed those brands below as well and explained why we don't carry them. Brands We Don't Carry & Why
There are other bicycle brands that manufacturer cruiser bicycles. We've just chosen the brands that fit best with our company and will uphold our standard of only selling the most high quality and best designed cruiser bicycles on the market. Below are brands we once carried but no longer do and the explanation as to why. They are available on other online websites and retail stores but Beach Bikes has decided they don't meet our product standards.
GreenLine Bicycles - Beachbikes.net was the first online retailer of GreenLine Bicycles and then made the decision to discontinue sales of this brand both in-store and online. The designs and colors look nice on their cruisers but the quality didn't match up with the designs. Time after time bicycles were arriving damaged to customers homes and parts were missing. It made it difficult for us to offer the customer service we wanted to. In addition, product details and colors were changing very frequently so it was hard to always relay the correct product information to customers. If a customer is interested in purchasing a GreenLine Bicycle we just recommend test riding the product first and ensuring the retailer will offer an extended warranty to protect you from being stuck with a bicycle that doesn't work properly.
Micargi Bicycles - Beachbikes.net was a retailer of Micargi Bicycles for four years. Unfortunately every year the quality seemed to decline more and more. Time after time parts would be missing in shipments and simple aspects of the bicycle were coming faulty. It resulted in us having to take many returns and send many replacement parts. We want to send a perfect bike the first time around. Micargi Bicycles can be found on many different websites and stores, even the most poor retail establishments and sometimes garages. This is because Micargi doesn't protect their brand name and uphold a quality product. We couldn't offer a good warranty and service when we had to sell the product very inexpensive to compete with other retailers. We recommend if you are going to purchase a Micargi please check the warranty the retailer is offering and also test the product before purchase to ensure everything is in full working order.
Schwinn Bicycles - Schwinn has been around for years and is a staple of the cruiser bicycle industry. Unfortunately, what the Schwinn brand means today versus 50 years ago is very different. The brand name of Schwinn has been sold numerous times over and now exists within an umbrella company that owns other bicycle brand names. The quality has been compromised to make way for lower prices to allow their bicycles to be sold in Walmarts and Targets nationwide. It became difficult for us to stand behind their products when they were being sold in mass-market merchants at low prices with no warranty. We want to offer the best service and quality we can and it came to a place where unfortunately Schwinn couldn't fit within what we want to offer our customers. |
